Here's Aidan chillin' in his new wagon. My parents and John's parents bought this wagon for Aidan for his birthday...and he loves it! These pictures are from when my parents were here and we went on a walk. I walked him up to the church building in it one day (takes about 15-20 minutes) and he loved it all the way there...at which point I was tired and we had John drive us back home. :) Good times in store for the wagon. :)

EVERYBODY NEEDS A "JOHN"

What a celebrattion
Sounds like the party was fun
and to top it all off
a red wagon, for fun in the sun.

This blog is filled
With pictures of Aidan galore.
And Joc is the writer.....
not one entry has been a bore.

But in the background
Many times we do not see,
The man who is there,
oh yes....it is he.

John, John,
one of a kind
John, John,
He must come to mind.

John, John,
A stickler to every rule
John, John,
Also a place for stool.

John, John,
Drives a Rav that is green,
John, John,
enjoyed the festivities of the bean

John, John,
Into a pumpkin can carve a witch
John, John,
Can handmake an icecream cake without a hitch.

John, John,
a bargain shopper I must say
John, John,
Did somebody say croquet?

Aidan deserves every picture
Joc writes with such couth
But be sure to never forget
The man that ministers to the youth

Okay, so I started to write what my favorite line was, but ran into a difficulty when I found more than one. So, let me just say, "very moving".

P.S. Okay, some of my faves were "oh yes...it is he" and "but be sure to never forget the man that ministers to the youth"

oh...and i forgot...the note to other 'blogeteers' at the end.

I must say that I don't know of many honors in my life that can top having an anonyous poet write such a moving tribute about me. My deepest thanks and sincerest gratitude go to the poet. In the words of Lou Brazi "My [your] first child be a masculine child."

I feel like I need to write a poem about John...it seems like the thing to do. Nice poem, Ryan.
